Welcome to Sexual Harassment Training
Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
Since 2017, sexual harassment claims have skyrocketed within the workplace. A rise in cases might not indicate a rise in prevalence. In 2017, the #MeToo Movement brought to light hidden sexual harassment and abuse claims. This movement impacted people all over the globe. The #MeToo Movement changed the way that we view sexual harassment in the workplace. This empowering movement led many women to speak up about their harassment and abuse. The #MeToo Movement brought sexual harassment into clear focus, identifying and combatting sexual harassment in the workplace.
With the prevalence of sexual harassment in the workplace, employers and employees must be diligent and educated on prevention measures, tools to combat sexual harassment, and how to deal with sexual harassment claims when these issues arise. One year after the #MeToo Movement, individuals filed over 7,500 sexual harassment claims in the United States alone. (This does not include the number of people that did not file a claim due to fear or did not know they experienced harassment.)
Some states have started to require their employees to take a sexual harassment training course to help prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. We recommend taking our course even if your state does not require sexual harassment training. A sexual harassment training course could make all the difference in preventing someone from falling victim to it. Unfortunately, the statistics suggest that someone in your workplace could come in the direct face of sexual harassment. It is vital for businesses and companies to be proactive when dealing with and preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.
