Signs Someone is Cheating
Okay, guys, he are real signs and examples that someone has been cheating straight from the psychologist’s couch. These examples have been altered slightly to protect those who exercised these behaviors, and know that I’ve (Dr. Justin D’Arienzo) heard all these examples many times from multiple patients. There are definite patterns of behavior related to infidelity that humans typically exercise.
We can help you repair your relationship or figure out what to do if you suspect infidelity. Here are 12 common signs of infidelity:
- Finding your partner at 2 am in the closet talking on a burner phone.
- After years of arguing about a lack of exercise, your partner is suddenly working out every morning, but they don’t want you going with them.
- Your partner pulls away every time you attempt to hug them.
- Your partner gets upset with you when you respectfully ask them why they didn’t come home last night.
- When your partner travels for business alone and you see the receipt for the honeymoon suite or dinner for two and they were traveling alone.
- When you and your spouse are on a great vacation and your spouse spontaneously starts crying and won’t look at you.
- When it’s been two years since you had sex and your partner says, “I’m just going through something.”
- After many years, your partner suddenly wants you to try new positions and other new “things” in bed.
- Being secretive about their phone, computer, or other personal devices
- Frequently staying late at work or going out with friends more often than usual
- Exhibiting changes in behavior, such as being more irritable, distant, or easily agitated. They just seem like they don’t want to be home with you.
- Finding an empty jewelry box and you never received the jewels.
There are several potential signs that someone may be cheating in a relationship, and these behaviors do not always indicate infidelity. It’s always important to gather concrete evidence before making any accusations. Again, it’s important to note that these behaviors alone are not enough to confirm cheating, and it’s always best to have an open and honest conversation with your partner about your concerns. If you suspect your partner is cheating, you may want to consider seeking professional counseling or couples therapy to help you navigate your particular situation.
